Listening to Case Kenny’s new book, The Opposite of Settling, he asks the question, “When was the last time you felt most like yourself?”

Book of the week – Case Keny, The Opposite of Settling for self-growth and revolution, what you already know. The Rich people’s problems – for fun.

I sat there for a moment before heading out for my morning walk in a gloomy London weather, trying to piece together where it was, who I was with, and what I was doing.

I couldn’t remember. Not because there were so few moments, but because I truly believe I am always showing up as my authentic self, unapologetically. But then I got to my head. Am I though?

The word authentic is everyone’s favourite right now, just like a few years ago, everyone was going on and on about their toxic traits, and last year, it was the word cringe. I thought about my very own authenticity. I used to have so many different personalieties, well, I actually still do. However, this year the goal was to merge them all into one and become even weirder to the neurotypical fellows out there. But can we truly be ourselves 100% of the time?

The answer is yes. It’s just the concept of being “your true authentic self” has somehow also fallen into some one-sided specific way, where it seems like you can be your authentic self only this way or that way.

I’d say fuck it all.

I actually enjoy being goofy with my friends and laugh till my very well hidden abs hurt, or be mysterious (probably should read autistic) with a guy, I casually flirt (because I can’t stand dating anymore and most likely I’m not even flirting but being friendly.

I love the part of me that makes people guess whether I judge them or it’s just my Slavic stare into the abyss on the tube, push away slow-walking tourists on the London streets and sign “For Fuck’s Sake” every time they are lost on the busy central streets while listening to some gangsta rap like Chain & Whips.

Iconic by the way. So as this song of the week.

And all jokes aside, all of it is me. Funny me, sad me, angry me, Disney princess me, that truly believes I can pet any animal I find (probably a toxic trait, oh well). But my point is that I do feel like myself the most at least once a day and it doesn’t mean only when I am in a state of zen, or when I histerically laugh and cry at the same time because I’ve been nominated for a Stylist of the year (oh, yes, please vote for me, Aya Lisch, here).

If you haven’t felt like yourself in a long time, come here. I can fix that.

And I mean that. You already know I won’t shut up about how clothes and your personal style can change your mental health, your self-expression, and simply spark your day, week, or year. Ilona is a great example of how you can look fab by just being you and appreciating every single part of yourself. Truly obsessed with this woman.

With that being said, the running offer of a 1:1 free first consultation is still ongoing for you to once and for all get the idea where to start on your style journey. And if you feel shy and feel like you want to observe for now, there is a plan on Hot Mama Bakery that allows you to do exactly that. Also, way cheaper than one scroll through self-doubt TikTok.

Anyway, another trendy thing to do - relax and breathe out, take a nap. Oh, and please wash/dry-clean your winter jackets before putting them back on in public. And tell a friend to tell a friend.

Okay, that’s all.

Love you, bye xo
