I free my girlies from their own bare minimum of scrolling through Pinterest

As I was finishing leftovers from my birthday cake I sat there in a silence and comfort of being alone in my London flat and thought of how much have changed over the past few years. And I don’t mean my life, I mean me as a human, me as a woman.

Reminding myself each time something doesn’t work out the way I wanted it to, that I signed up for this life (note to my soul, in the next life, can we please select something less “building up the character” life and more soft life type of thing, thanks). As much as it is not a piece of birthday cake every day, there is something about seeing the journey, seeing the progress, seeing the changes, and how everything unfolds in the most fascinating way, even though at most times it doesn’t feel that way at all.

In order to appreciate the journey is ultimately being good and knowing yourself and understand your deeper desires and needs. Just like I desire every item from Extro Code.

You have to know who you are, because untimely this where the confidence comes from. Then it’s easy to get creative and get into that “inspired” zone everyone is yapping about.

What’s left behind though, is that confidence is a mental muscle that needs to be trained, and being inspired means nothing without discipline. Otherwise you’d end up sitting on a stool just waiting for the motivation to hit, which, let’s be honest, rarely appear out of blue. Once it does, it seems to be a very fleeting moment, and then back to waiting mode.

All that turns into toxic trait, exactly what I’ve noticed with my clients when working one-on-one. We begin to work, once we are out of the trenches of lost feeling of who you want to be when you grow up, and everything seems to easy and so effortless. Then your personal stylist is moving onto helping someone else to rediscover their unique beauty and teach how to project it to the world with clothes and accessories, and you find yourself lost, alone, sitting on the stool, waiting for someone to help them you that feeling again. Keep in mind there is no shame in it, and some people do require a little outside help. That’s how society and culture of networking was built. Especially when it comes to women and the amount of trends that are forced upon us (but on a deeper level, how everyone have expectations of us being this or that way, where you constantly loosing yourself as an individual to fit in the boxes of others instead of creating an entire free field just for you). I think Ilona is a great example of how to contour those and be proud of herself.

My magic Bingo card for this year contains a lot of different goals, but one of them, believe it or not — rediscover my style. Crazy girl, would say some, a stylist who needs to rediscover her own style can’t be a good stylist, would say others. I don’t think its a flaw, I think its a strength to be able to recognise and be honest with yourself that something doesn’t feel right and to begin the process of finding what’s good for you.

This exactly what gave me an idea to free my girlies from their own bare minimum of scrolling through Pinterest (or whatever your social media of choice), saving though outfit ideas, but either never putting them together, or when they do — something is off and it doesn’t look as effortless as they envisioned. The secret behind is where magic meets science. And also your budget. Hot Mama Bakery is a styling community that combines not only supportive stylist to help you rediscover your style and aesthetics, but also theory, practical theory, and ready-to-wear outfits ton actually get you dig deeper into yourself and open your ears and soul to what’s truly lies within that beautiful mind of yours. Plus you get to start your journey every week. Because I know how it is sometimes difficult to keep on track with life.

And in case you don’t believe me — I have two things to add. 1. If you read this far and you are ready for a change — book a FREE consult with me so you can share your concerns and what you with for your style to be. Also you’d be helping me stay focused so I can send this song to any man that is trying to disturb my peace. 2. If you’d wish to skip, do yourself a favour a get How to Built a Fashion Icon by Law Roach.

I think that’s all for today.

Hope you are off to book a call with me.

Okay, love you, bye xo

Your slightly nonchalant fashion stylist,

Aya x
